Boring Legal Stuff

Privacy Policy

What this site collects (almost nothing), and why.

What this site is

leo.ridgwell.family is the personal website of Leo JD Ridgwell, part of the Ridgwell Family's sites. There are no accounts, no forms and nothing you can submit here.

What's collected

Ordinary web server access logs (IP address, browser details, the address requested and the time) are kept by the hosting provider, Stuxedo, for a limited period, as with any website, for security and abuse monitoring. They aren't reviewed individually or shared with anyone.

What isn't collected

This site runs no analytics, no advertising and no tracking scripts, and collects no names, email addresses or other personal details: there's nowhere on it to enter any. If you email or phone me, I only use what you send to reply to you. The one thing the site stores is your light/dark choice, and that stays in your own browser (see the Cookies Policy).

Other sites

Every font, script, icon and image is served from this site itself, with two exceptions: the Ridgwell Family logo in the footer loads from the family's own media server, global.media.ridgwell.family, and the cat's script loads from kat.stuxie.dev, StuxieDev's (Leo's) own site. Those requests carry nothing that identifies you beyond what any web request does (your IP address and browser details). The CV link opens a PDF on leo.media.ridgwell.family, also run by the family.

Links to other sites (projects, social networks) take you to sites with their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Since this site holds none beyond the hosting logs, there's usually nothing to find, but you're welcome to ask: email [email protected].
