Your light/dark choice
If you use the light/dark switch in the header, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage as theme (either light or dark), so the next page opens in the same theme. It stays on your device, is never sent to the server, and is removed again if you switch back to match your device's own setting. Clear this site's data in your browser to remove it at any time.
Your cat
If you pick a different cat (or none) with the "Your cat" menu in the footer, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage as sdKat, so the same cat follows you to the next page. It stays on your device and is never sent anywhere. (The cat is StuxieDev's kat, from kat.stuxie.dev, which also uses sdKat; an older choice saved here as ljdrCat is moved over and removed.)
A hidden secret
There's a secret hidden away on this site. If you find it, it remembers a couple of things about it in local storage as ljdrSecret, on your device only, for the same reasons and with the same way to clear it.
Third parties
This site doesn't load analytics, advertising or social media widgets, so no third-party cookies are set through it either. Sites you visit through its links may set their own; this policy only covers leo.ridgwell.family.
